Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work The Sirens' song by Wilhelm Kray. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,524.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilhelm Kray - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work German the Sirens, which sold at auction in May 2015 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,379.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Sirens' song von Wilhelm Kray zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.524,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Kray mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit German the Sirens beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 17.379,93) versteigert wurde.
