This artwork by Willem Kalf achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2019. In the Old Masters Day Sale auction, the work Barn Interior With An Old Woman And Still Life Of Vegetables sold for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,547.07) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Kalf achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Chafing Dish, Two Pilgrims' Canteens, A Silver-Gilt Ewer, A Plate And Other Tableware On A Partially Draped Table in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 2,775,000.00 (€ 2,489,012.47).
