In March 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries, which included the work The coast of Capri by Willem Imandt. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,500.00 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Willem Imandt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A wooded mountainesque landscape with Waringin trees in September 2006 with an auction result of EUR 10,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im März 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit The coast of Capri von Willem Imandt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.500,00 und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Imandt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A wooded mountainesque landscape with Waringin trees im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.800,00.
