In March 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries, which included the work Composition by Willem Hussem. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,875.00 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Willem Hussem have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch Cirkel Met Verticalen in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 35,550.00.

Im März 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition von Willem Hussem zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.875,00 und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Hussem auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch Cirkel Met Verticalen im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 35.550,00.
