Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Woman With A Basket by Willem Gerard Hofker. The price achieved of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 19,180.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Gerard Hofker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ni Goesti Kompiang Mawar in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 781,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman With A Basket von Willem Gerard Hofker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 19.180,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Gerard Hofker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ni Goesti Kompiang Mawar im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 781.000,00.
