Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work A Pair Of Lithographs by Willem Gerard Hofker for HKD 5,000.00 (€ 571.84). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Gerard Hofker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ni Goesti Kompiang Mawar in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 781,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Pair Of Lithographs von Willem Gerard Hofker für HKD 5.000,00 (€ 571,84) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Gerard Hofker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ni Goesti Kompiang Mawar im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 781.000,00.
