Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Shell fishers by Willem George Frederik Jansen was sold in the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction at Christies in London in July 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,306.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem George Frederik Jansen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Shell Fisher In The Breakers, which sold at auction in March 2007 for EUR 9,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Shell fishers von Willem George Frederik Jansen wurde im Juli 2010 in der Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.306,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
