In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work A Shell Fisher In The Breakers changed hands for EUR 5,250.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Willem George Frederik Jansen have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2007 by the work A Shell Fisher In The Breakers at EUR 9,600.00.
