Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Willem George Frederik Jansen could be acquired at Sothebys in Amsterdam in September 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work A Cowherdess With Her Cattle On A Country Lane changed hands for EUR 938.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem George Frederik Jansen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Shell Fisher In The Breakers in March 2007 with an auction result of EUR 9,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Willem George Frederik Jansen konnte im September 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours wechselte die Arbeit A Cowherdess With Her Cattle On A Country Lane für EUR 938,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem George Frederik Jansen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Shell Fisher In The Breakers im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.600,00.
