Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work A still life with fish on a kitchen-table by Willem Elisa Roelofs. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 705.00 (€ 326.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Elisa Roelofs achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A summer bouquet in June 2002 with an auction result of EUR 5,377.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with fish on a kitchen-table von Willem Elisa Roelofs zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 705,00 (€ 326,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Elisa Roelofs erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A summer bouquet im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.377,50.
