In January 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS AT THE KUNSTFABRIEK, which included the work A flower still life in winter by Willem Elisa Roelofs. The »bidding war« ended at NLG 4,935.00 (€ 2,159.46), 65% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Elisa Roelofs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A summer bouquet, which sold at auction in June 2002 for EUR 5,377.50.

Im Januar 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS AT THE KUNSTFABRIEK durch, in der auch die Arbeit A flower still life in winter von Willem Elisa Roelofs zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von NLG 4.935,00 (€ 2.159,46) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem Elisa Roelofs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A summer bouquet beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für EUR 5.377,50 versteigert wurde.
