Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Figures on a frozen canal by Willem de Zwart. It changed hands for a price of EUR 2,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem de Zwart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Marietje in het gras: the daughter of the artist with a straw head in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 56,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures on a frozen canal von Willem de Zwart zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 2.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem de Zwart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Marietje in het gras: the daughter of the artist with a straw head im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 56.250,00.
