Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The Hofland Collection, which included the work An afternoon in the tea garden by Willem de Zwart. The price achieved of EUR 5,625.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Willem de Zwart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marietje in het gras: the daughter of the artist with a straw head in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 56,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The Hofland Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit An afternoon in the tea garden von Willem de Zwart zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.625,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem de Zwart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marietje in het gras: the daughter of the artist with a straw head im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 56.250,00.
