It achieved a price of NLG 7,050.00 (€ 3,388.56), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem de Famars Testas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch the Well And Sycamore In Ezbekieh Square, Cairo, which sold at auction in May 2011 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,864.41).

Die Arbeit The Rooftops Of Brussels von Willem de Famars Testas kam im Juni 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von NLG 7.050,00 (€ 3.388,56) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem de Famars Testas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dutch the Well And Sycamore In Ezbekieh Square, Cairo beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.864,41) versteigert wurde.
