The work A Collection Of Eight Drawings And Watercolours Depicting Medieval Knights On Horseback, A Dungeon Interior, Scenes From 'De Roos Van Dekama' And 'De Reisgenoten' By Jakob Van Lennep And The Facade Of An Oriental Palace In Cairo, Four Signed And Insc by Willem de Famars Testas was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2001. It changed hands for a price of NLG 1,175.00 (€ 564.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of NLG 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem de Famars Testas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch the Well And Sycamore In Ezbekieh Square, Cairo in May 2011 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,864.41).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von NLG 1.175,00 (€ 564,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von NLG 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem de Famars Testas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch the Well And Sycamore In Ezbekieh Square, Cairo im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.864,41).
