In the 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART auction, the work An oasis in Egypt sold for EUR 10,755.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Willem de Famars Testas; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Dutch the Well And Sycamore In Ezbekieh Square, Cairo sold at auction in May 2011 with the realized price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,864.41).
