Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Venetian scene by Wilhelm von Gegerfelt was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 40,000.00 (€ 3,935.06). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilhelm von Gegerfelt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A market on the edge of the lagoon, Venice, which sold at auction in April 2000 for GBP 7,050.00 (€ 12,069.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Venetian scene von Wilhelm von Gegerfelt im Dezember 2018 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 40.000,00 (€ 3.935,06) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm von Gegerfelt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A market on the edge of the lagoon, Venice beobachtet, die im April 2000 für GBP 7.050,00 (€ 12.069,31) versteigert wurde.
