Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Scene from Venice by Wilhelm von Gegerfelt was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 30,000.00 (€ 2,987.74). Admittedly, works by Wilhelm von Gegerfelt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A market on the edge of the lagoon, Venice in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 12,069.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Scene from Venice von Wilhelm von Gegerfelt im Dezember 2020 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 30.000,00 (€ 2.987,74) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wilhelm von Gegerfelt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A market on the edge of the lagoon, Venice im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 12.069,31).
