Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A hunting party by Wilhelm Velten was sold in the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2010. The price achieved of EUR 4,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wilhelm Velten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Riding Out ; And Before The Hunt in September 2004 with an auction result of GBP 17,925.00 (€ 26,114.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A hunting party von Wilhelm Velten wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wilhelm Velten auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Riding Out ; And Before The Hunt im September 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.925,00 (€ 26.114,46).
