Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Phillips in an online auction held the auction Wired: Online Auction, which included the work Warrior Skull by Wes Lang. The price achieved of GBP 1,071.00 (€ 1,195.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wes Lang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Unity Within in September last year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 257,589.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Wired: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Warrior Skull von Wes Lang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.071,00 (€ 1.195,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wes Lang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Unity Within im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 257.589,70).
