Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Weng Tonghe achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2021. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Couplet In Running Script sold for HKD 56,640.00 (€ 6,064.20) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 22,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Weng Tonghe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 80,748.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Weng Tonghe erzielte im April 2021 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Couplet In Running Script für HKD 56.640,00 (€ 6.064,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 22.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Weng Tonghe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 80.748,87).
