Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Calligraphy In Regular-Running Script by Weng Tonghe. The price achieved of HKD 51,000.00 (€ 5,539.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Weng Tonghe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 80,748.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular-Running Script von Weng Tonghe zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 51.000,00 (€ 5.539,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Weng Tonghe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 80.748,87).
