Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Weng Luo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Flowers sold for HKD 84,000.00 (€ 8,747.59) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Weng Luo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers and Birds in Four Seasons, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 32,225.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Weng Luo erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Flowers für HKD 84.000,00 (€ 8.747,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Weng Luo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers and Birds in Four Seasons beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 32.225,21) versteigert wurde.
