Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Flowers And Inscets by Weng Luo. It changed hands for a price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,887.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 16,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Weng Luo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers and Birds in Four Seasons, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 32,225.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers And Inscets von Weng Luo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.887,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 16.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Weng Luo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers and Birds in Four Seasons beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 32.225,21) versteigert wurde.
