Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven-Character Couplet In Clerical Script by Weng Fanggang was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017. The price achieved of HKD 70,800.00 (€ 7,792.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Weng Fanggang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diamond Sutra In Regular Script in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 175,266.40).

Die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Clerical Script von Weng Fanggang kam im Oktober 2017 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 70.800,00 (€ 7.792,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Weng Fanggang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diamond Sutra In Regular Script im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 175.266,40).
