Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Luohan by Wen Yongchen. The price achieved of HKD 61,200.00 (€ 6,932.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wen Yongchen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Hundred Boys, which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,265.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Luohan von Wen Yongchen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 61.200,00 (€ 6.932,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wen Yongchen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Hundred Boys beobachtet, die im März 2019 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.265,76) versteigert wurde.
