This artwork by Wen Yongchen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December 2021. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Guanyin sold for HKD 89,250.00 (€ 10,109.43) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wen Yongchen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Hundred Boys, which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,265.76).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wen Yongchen erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Guanyin für HKD 89.250,00 (€ 10.109,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wen Yongchen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Hundred Boys beobachtet, die im März 2019 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.265,76) versteigert wurde.
