Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Goldfish by Wen Yongchen. The price achieved of HKD 25,200.00 (€ 2,991.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wen Yongchen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Hundred Boys in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,265.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Goldfish von Wen Yongchen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.200,00 (€ 2.991,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wen Yongchen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Hundred Boys im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.265,76).
