Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Children Flying Kites / Calligraphy by Wen Yongchen was sold in the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in March last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 32,760.00 (€ 3,771.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wen Yongchen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Hundred Boys in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,265.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Children Flying Kites / Calligraphy von Wen Yongchen wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 32.760,00 (€ 3.771,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wen Yongchen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Hundred Boys im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.265,76).
