Auction result misses estimated price range
In August last year a collector was able to acquire the work Calligraphy in Regular and Running Script by Wen Yongchen for HKD 12,750.00 (€ 1,613.86). This price was achieved in the auction Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale at Bonhams in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Yongchen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Hundred Boys in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,265.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Calligraphy in Regular and Running Script von Wen Yongchen für HKD 12.750,00 (€ 1.613,86) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale bei Bonhams in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Yongchen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Hundred Boys im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.265,76).
