Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphic Couplets by Wen Yongchen was auctioned at POLY in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,200.00 (€ 148.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Yongchen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Hundred Boys in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,265.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplets von Wen Yongchen kam im November letzten Jahres bei POLY zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.200,00 (€ 148,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Yongchen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Hundred Boys im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.265,76).
