Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2003 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY, which included the work Landscape by Wen Dian. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 41,825.00 (€ 4,355.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Dian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study in a Village by a River in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 3,140,000.00 (€ 326,210.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2003 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Wen Dian zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 41.825,00 (€ 4.355,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Dian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Study in a Village by a River im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.140.000,00 (€ 326.210,69).
