This artwork by Wen Dian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape in Zhongling sold for HKD 1,820,000.00 (€ 189,595.60) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wen Dian; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Study in a Village by a River sold at auction in May 2010 with the realized price of HKD 3,140,000.00 (€ 326,210.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wen Dian erzielte im Mai 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Landscape in Zhongling für HKD 1.820.000,00 (€ 189.595,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wen Dian; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Study in a Village by a River im Mai 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 3.140.000,00 (€ 326.210,69).
