This price was achieved in the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at POLY in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Wei Zhihuang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bamboo And Rock in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,120,000.00 (€ 136,792.27).

Die Arbeit Landscape Fan von Wei Zhihuang war einem Käufer im Oktober 2013 HKD 172.500,00 (€ 16.369,35) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wei Zhihuang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bamboo And Rock im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.120.000,00 (€ 136.792,27).
