Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Wei Zhihuang was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. The price achieved of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,337.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wei Zhihuang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bamboo And Rock in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,120,000.00 (€ 136,792.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Wei Zhihuang wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.337,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wei Zhihuang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bamboo And Rock im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.120.000,00 (€ 136.792,27).
