This artwork by Wei Rong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. In the 20th Century Chinese Art & Asian Contemporary Art auction, the work Wu-Long Yuan sold for HKD 456,000.00 (€ 47,486.92) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wei Rong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Propaganda Studio, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 2,167,500.00 (€ 189,479.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wei Rong erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art & Asian Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Wu-Long Yuan für HKD 456.000,00 (€ 47.486,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wei Rong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Propaganda Studio beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 2.167.500,00 (€ 189.479,17) versteigert wurde.
