This artwork by Wei Rong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2007. In the Contemporary Art Asia auction, the work Founders Of The Nation In The Early Days sold for USD 120,000.00 (€ 89,726.33) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wei Rong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Propaganda Studio, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 2,167,500.00 (€ 189,479.17).

In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia wurde die Arbeit Founders Of The Nation In The Early Days für USD 120.000,00 (€ 89.726,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wei Rong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Propaganda Studio beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 2.167.500,00 (€ 189.479,17) versteigert wurde.
