Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Thing-Form Apple by Wei Qingji for HKD 93,750.00 (€ 11,032.43). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Ink Art : Journey at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Wei Qingji have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mickey 3 in March 2015 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 63,052.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Thing-Form Apple von Wei Qingji für HKD 93.750,00 (€ 11.032,43) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Ink Art : Journey bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wei Qingji auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mickey 3 im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 63.052,79).
