This artwork by Wei Qingji achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in August last year. In the Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings auction, the work Thing-Form 0513 sold for HKD 141,600.00 (€ 17,923.34) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wei Qingji - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mickey 3, which sold at auction in March 2015 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 63,052.79).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wei Qingji erzielte im August letzten Jahres bei POLY einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings wurde die Arbeit Thing-Form 0513 für HKD 141.600,00 (€ 17.923,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wei Qingji mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mickey 3 beobachtet, die im März 2015 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 63.052,79) versteigert wurde.
