In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Sweaty by Wedhar Riyadi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 62,500.00 (€ 5,925.69), 25% above the upper estimate. Other works by Wedhar Riyadi have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,533.61) in May 2015 for the work Beware of your Weapon; & Untitled.
