It achieved a price of USD 889,000.00 (€ 814,998.17), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wassily Kandinsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bild Mit Weissen Linien (Painting With White Lines) in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 33,008,750.00 (€ 37,590,807.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Entwurf zu Komposition IV von Wassily Kandinsky kam im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 889.000,00 (€ 814.998,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wassily Kandinsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bild Mit Weissen Linien (Painting With White Lines) im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.008.750,00 (€ 37.590.807,66).
