Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Seven-character Poem in Running Script Calligraphy by Wang Zhideng. It changed hands for a price of HKD 27,500.00 (€ 2,460.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Zhideng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Correspondences in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 132,134.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-character Poem in Running Script Calligraphy von Wang Zhideng zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 27.500,00 (€ 2.460,00) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Zhideng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Correspondences im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 132.134,66).
