Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2005 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY, which included the work Poem In Running Script Calligraphy by Wang Zhideng. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 72,000.00 (€ 7,877.86), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Zhideng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Correspondences in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 132,134.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem In Running Script Calligraphy von Wang Zhideng zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 72.000,00 (€ 7.877,86) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Zhideng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Correspondences im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 132.134,66).
