Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape After Old Masters by Wang Yuanqi was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in March 2019. The price achieved of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,625.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yuanqi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 48,475,000.00 (€ 5,219,068.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape After Old Masters von Wang Yuanqi wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.625,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yuanqi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 48.475.000,00 (€ 5.219.068,33).
