Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape After Huang Gongwang by Wang Yuanqi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 2,125,000.00 (€ 250,826.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yuanqi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 48,475,000.00 (€ 5,219,068.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape After Huang Gongwang von Wang Yuanqi kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 2.125.000,00 (€ 250.826,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yuanqi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape Inspired by Huang Gongwang im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 48.475.000,00 (€ 5.219.068,33).
