Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Bamboo by Wang Yishan was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in April 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 1,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 140.25 (€ 15.96). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yishan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pine Tree in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 25,500.00 (€ 2,902.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Bamboo von Wang Yishan im April 2019 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 140,25 (€ 15,96) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yishan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pine Tree im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 25.500,00 (€ 2.902,64).
