This artwork by Wang Yishan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in April 2019. In the Chinese Paintingsonline only auction, the work Bamboo sold for HKD 8,287.50 (€ 943.36) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Yishan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pine Tree, which sold at auction in April 2019 for HKD 25,500.00 (€ 2,902.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Yishan erzielte im April 2019 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintingsonline only wurde die Arbeit Bamboo für HKD 8.287,50 (€ 943,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Yishan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pine Tree beobachtet, die im April 2019 für HKD 25.500,00 (€ 2.902,64) versteigert wurde.
