Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lady and Lotus by Wang Xijing was sold in the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in March last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 18,900.00 (€ 2,175.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Xijing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Yu Youren in April this year with an auction result of HKD 180,000.00 (€ 183,815.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lady and Lotus von Wang Xijing wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 18.900,00 (€ 2.175,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Xijing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Yu Youren im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 180.000,00 (€ 183.815,22).
