Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wang Xijing achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Beauty And Beast sold for HKD 86,400.00 (€ 88,231.30) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Xijing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Yu Youren, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 180,000.00 (€ 183,815.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Xijing erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Beauty And Beast für HKD 86.400,00 (€ 88.231,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Xijing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of Yu Youren beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 180.000,00 (€ 183.815,22) versteigert wurde.
