Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Running Script Calligraphy by Wang Wenzhi was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,973.73). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Wenzhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy After Masters in April this year with an auction result of HKD 516,000.00 (€ 526,936.96).
